An operator is being sought to take up a prime location within the prestigious £250 million Southwater development in Telford.

Prime Southwater location up for grabs

The opportunity will allow a business to open a bar or restaurant in a spot directly on the new main street adjacent to the already established Ten Pin bowling, Mecca Bingo, the newly refurbished ice rink, and near Telford International Centre; a gem of a location with guaranteed footfall.

The business which takes on the unit will be surrounded by well known national brands including Zizzi, Wagamama, Pizza Express, Chimichanga, Nandos, Harvester and Bella Italia, which are all due to open next spring.

A new multi-screen Cineworld cinema, Southwater One and multi-storey car park are also on the way to further complement the offer at Southwater.

Councillor Charles Smith, cabinet member for Housing, Development and Borough Towns, said: “It’s great that we are able to offer this opportunity and it would be even better if it was a local business. We already have a number of well known national brands coming to Southwater which will obviously attract many people.

“To be able to complement those national brands with a local business which can establish itself in a prime location would be wonderful.

“The unit is already in place so people can easily see how central it is to the overall Southwater development and I would urge any interested parties to get in touch to find out more.”
