Police renew appeal over items belonging to Georgia Williams
Officers investigating the murder of Georgia Williams have today renewed their appeal for the public’s help as they search for several items that are important to their investigation.

The 17-year-old went missing from Wellington on Sunday 26 May and a body, which detectives believe is Georgia Williams, was found on Friday afternoon in woodland off the Nant-y-Garth pass near Wrexham.
Specialist officers are continuing to conduct extensive searches at the site where the body was discovered as they attempt to trace some missing items that belonged to Georgia.
In particular they are looking for a bag, a makeup bag, her mobile phone and items of clothing. The bag is a distinctive spotty leather satchel and her smart phone is a white Samsung Galaxy Y. The makeup bag is pink with a flowered pattern and contained various items of makeup.
Among items of clothes missing, detectives are particularly keen to trace Georgia’s waist-length black leather-type jacket with a stand-up collar, which she was wearing when she was last seen leaving her family’s home in Wellington at 7.30pm on Sunday evening.
Detective Superintendent Adrian McGee, who is leading the investigation, said:
“Although a man has been charged with Georgia’s murder, we still have a lot of work to do. Formal identification of the body is yet to take place but we do hope to release information about this and the post mortem results sometime tomorrow morning.
“Locating the three items we released details of on Saturday is still very important to us, while we also remain keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have seen the Toyota Hiace 300 GS panel van, registration number CX06 ASV, on Monday 27 or Tuesday 28 May.
“The support the public and the media have given to our investigation so far has been fantastic, but we need to ask for their help once more as we try to find these items.
“If anyone is aware of their whereabouts or comes across any suspicious items, particularly in the area between Oswestry, Wrexham and Ruthin in north Shropshire and Denbighshire, then please get in touch.”
Detective Superintendent McGee and the investigation team can be contacted via the non-emergency police number 101.
