A49 South Shropshire resurfacing work to begin
Resurfacing work on the A49 Ludlow Road and the B4638 Roundabout near Craven Arms, Onibury and Stokesay Castle is to begin from this evening.

The work will include improvements to some footways and repairs to drainage, it is expected to take three weeks to complete.
To minimise disruption for road users, work will take place at night between 8pm and 5.30am on Mondays to Thursdays and between 9pm and 8am on Fridays.
While the work is underway, there will be phased overnight closures with diversion routes clearly signposted.
Highways Agency Project Manager, Purnima Kaul, Said:
“All this work has been combined so it can be completed more quickly and to reduce the disruption for the road user.
“Once complete, the work will result in improved safety for motorists and pedestrian.”
“We advise drivers to check local conditions and leave extra time for their journeys if necessary.”
