Police in Telford are investigating after thieves stole a large tool box from the garage of a Telford property whilst the owners were moving house.

Toolbox with contents worth over £6000 stolen from Telford home

The incident occurred at an address in Burford, Brookside sometime between 4pm and 4.40pm on Friday 14 June.

As the occupants of the property were in the process of moving out, thieves entered the attached garage and stole a limited edition tool box from inside.

Police said it seemed likely the thieves accessed the garage by entering the rear garden and going in through the back door as the main garage door can only be opened from the inside.

The stolen tool box is almost 6ft by 3ft in size, its contents are worth between £6000 and £8000.

The thieves left the garage via the main up and over door before making their escape.

Officers investigating this incident are hopeful someone may have seen the thieves with the tool box after stealing it, or may have seen the thieves loading the stolen item into their vehicle.

Anyone who believes they may have information that is liked to this incident, especially anyone who believes they may have seen a vehicle that could be involved, is asked to contact officers in Telford on 101, quoting incident number 496S 170613.

Alternatively, please remember information can also be left anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
