Police seek witnesses to four vehicle collision

The collision, involving three cars and a motorcycle, happened on the B4394 Shawbirch to Atcham road at around 9.45am last Thursday.

One of the car drivers, a 19-year-old man, was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious chest injuries.

The drivers of the other two cars received slight injuries and whiplash. The motorcyclist was unhurt.

Two of the cars – a red Peugeot 306 and a blue Skoda Octavia and a Yamaha 125 motorcycle were travelling towards Atcham. The other car, a black Nissan Navara, was heading in the opposite direction towards Telford.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: “We are anxious to hear from anyone who saw the collision or who might have spotted any of the vehicles involved just before it happened, to contact Shrewsbury police station on 101.”
