Police in Telford are investigating after a burglary in the Overdale area of Telford last week.

Thieves steal jewellery during Telford burglary

Sometime between 11.30am and 4.30pm on Thursday 4 July thieves broke into the property by levering open a window at the rear of the lounge with a tool.

Once inside the house it seems the thieves carried out a thorough search of a number of rooms before stealing a large number of items and making their escape.

The items stolen by the thieves include a blue sports bag, a silver ladies watch, 2 gold bracelets, 2 sovereign coins, 8 gold plated chopstick rests, a gold gate bracelet and a variety of earrings and charm bracelets.

In addition, the thieves also stole 2 Wedgwood trays from inside the house.

The total value of the stolen items is thought to be more than £600 while at least £50 of damage was caused to the lounge window as a result of this break-in.

Officers investigating this burglary are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in The Rock on Thursday, or anyone who may have information about the break-in itself or where the stolen items can now be found.

Anyone with information about this burglary can contact Telford police on 0300 333 3000 quoting reference number 229N 040713 or the anonymous charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
