Mercedes stolen from garage of Shifnal home
Police are seeking witnesses after burglars broke into a Shifnal home’s garage early today and stole a Mercedes car.
A quantity of power tools was also taken from the premises in Shaw Lane.
The thieves broke into the garage just before 2am. They started the blue Mercedes C180 Kompressor coupe, reversed out and drove off.
Police Constable Tim Street, the investigating officer, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Shaw Lane area at around 1.30 to 2am to contact Shifnal or Bridgnorth police stations on 101.
“I am also seeking information on the whereabouts of the stolen Mercedes, which has the registration number BF07 GBZ.”
He said the theft served as a reminder that people should take all reasonable steps to secure their vehicles and other items of value, even when kept in locked garages.
