Ercall Wood pupils leave their mark on new school
Pupils at Telford & Wrekin Council’s Ercall Wood Technology College have been making their mark on their new school building.

Over the past couple of months, pupils have been signing the steelwork which will create the frame for their new school.
The project has been designed to give pupils at Ercall Wood the chance to see the school building project in action and encourage them to take ownership of the new building.
The new school is set to open in September 2014 as a part of the council’s £200 million Building Schools for the Future project.
Councillor Paul Watling, Telford & Wrekin’s cabinet member for children, young people and families, said: “It’s great to see the pupils at Ercall Wood engaging with the project and being involved at this stage in their new school.”
Head teacher Chay Davis said: “Thanks to the support of Tracy and Jon from the Shepherd team, almost all of the pupils and staff have visited the site and laid claim to a small piece of Ercall Wood v.2.0.
“Having signed and dated a piece of the steel work, there will always be a part of the school that will belong to them.
“We have even been able to have year six pupils from our feeder schools come and visit the new school site too.
“Everyone has been excited to see their new school building as it emerges from the steel frame into a more solid structure.”
