The Georgia Williams Trust today launched the charity’s official website, which has been designed by staff at New College where the teenager was a student.

The website www.thegeorgiawilliamstrust.org tells Georgia’s story, outlines who is involved in the Trust and what its aims are and also explains how people can get involved and donate money to the cause.

The launch of the website is the latest step in the creation of the Trust, which has come together very quickly since Georgia’s death at the end of May.

Inspector Richard Langton, chairman of The Georgia Williams Trust, said: “Everyone involved in the Trust has had to work very quickly to set up the charity and our official website is the latest major step.

“I am very grateful to New College for the hard work they have put in to create the site. It can obviously evolve over time but as a starting point I feel we have something that captures Georgia’s spirit and energy and tells everyone who knows her what we are trying to achieve.

“We feel we’ve done a lot of work very quickly and we are expecting to have our official charity number in the next few weeks.

“I would very much like to thank everyone for their support of the Trust in its first month and a half and we have plenty of exciting plans to announce moving forwards.”

17 year old Georgia died at an address in Wellington in May and a man has been remanded in custody, charged with her murder.
