Police name man wanted in connection with Newport robbery
Police investigating an armed robbery at a Shropshire bank last month, today named a man they wish to trace in connection with the incident.

Detectives have also issued a photograph of 49-year-old Martin Dawson who they believe may be able to assist their investigation into the robbery at Newport on Saturday, 29 June.
Dawson is currently on the run after absconding from Sudbury prison in Derbyshire on 24 June.
During the robbery at the Britannia bank on High Street, a cashier was forced to hand over cash to a man who appeared to be holding a handgun.
The cashier put the money into a carrier bag provided by the man, who then walked out of the premises. No-one was hurt.
Detective Sergeant Dafydd Jones, one of the investigating officers, said today: “We have issued several witness appeals, including one on the BBC Crimewatch programme.
“As a result, a number of people have come forward with information and we have released the name of Martin Dawson as a person who is of interest to us and may be able to assist the investigation.”
Dawson is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build, with short brown hair and grey eyes. He has connections with Derbyshire and Staffordshire and his last home address was in Stafford.
Police have said he should not be approached by members of the public but anyone knowing his whereabouts should call DS Jones on 01952-214712 or the West Mercia Police 101 number. Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 for which a reward may be paid.
Dawson was serving a life sentence at the time of his escape. He was sentenced at Manchester City Crown Court on 30 October 2000 for robberies, possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and attempted escape from lawful custody.
DS Jones added: “We believe Dawson could be in the Staffordshire or Derbyshire area although he may have gone further afield. We would welcome any information concerning his whereabouts.”
