Speed enforcement in use during M54 bridge repairs
A temporary 50mph speed limit is being put in place during bridge repairs on the M54 in Telford.
Motorists using the M54 between junctions 6 and 7 in Telford will need to observe a temporary 50mph speed limit which will be enforced by average speed cameras.
The temporary speed limit and cameras will be active as bridge repairs take place with motorists having to use narrow lanes.
Anna Higgins, Communications Manager at the Safer Roads Partnership said:
“A temporary speed limit of 50mph will be in place while the roadworks take place, to slow traffic down and keep roadworkers and motorists safe. We are advising all motorists to exercise caution as they travel through them and comply with the speed limit, which will be clearly marked and enforced by average speed cameras.”
