Missing Telford teenager Elise Buckley found safe
A 14-year-old girl from Telford who had not been in touch with her family since travelling with friend to Birmingham last Friday has been found safe.
The police search for 14-year-old Elise was called off last night after she was found by officers in Dawley, Telford at around 10.30pm.
There was growing concern for her safety after she travelled to Birmingham last Friday but failed to return. West Mercia Police and West Midlands Police issued a series of appeals for information as part of the search.
Detective Chief Inspector Jason Wells said today: “Elise’s parents and the police are relieved and delighted she has been found safe.
“As time went by there was mounting concern for her welfare. Police officers traced her to Dawley last night.”
He added: “I’d like to thank everyone who helped in the search and responded to our appeals for information.”
Police launched a search after her disappearance was reported missing on Sunday.
