New Telford Town Park water play area opens
Telford Town Park’s new £150,000 water play area was officially opened by Telford & Wrekin Council yesterday.

The free facility is expected to be a big hit with residents and visitors, opening daily during the summer from 11am-5pm.
It includes pressure activated water jets and is operated by a system that recycles water with minimal waste.
The water play area is located just outside the Town Park’s new visitor centre and is accessible to everyone.
Councillor Liz Clare, cabinet member for Leisure Services and Culture, said: “I am delighted that we are opening yet another fantastic new facility for the Town Park and we really are turning it into an amazing attraction for the centre of Telford.
“We have the new Visitor Centre, a new sensory garden, a new inclusive play area and the Queen Elizabeth II Fields In Trust Arena where T-Live and T-Party will take place. Work is beginning on the new Aerial Ropes course and now the water play area has officially opened.
“It all adds up to a new era for the Town Park and a brilliant leisure facility to complement the exciting works taking place at Southwater.”
