Driver rescued from flood water following heavy rain
A driver was rescued from flood water on Newport Road in Albrighton this morning.
The vehicle became stuck in the water after heavy rain fell overnight causing a number of roads across the county to become flooded.
Flooding on the A458 Shrewsbury Road between Cressage and the Cross Houses turn was also causing problems for motorists.
Motorists were also urged to take care in Cosford following flooding on the Worcester Road at the railway bridge junction.
Weather forecasters say the rain should clear to the southeast leaving plenty of dry and bright weather across Shropshire for the rest of the day.
