T-Live to support The Georgia Williams Trust
Telford & Wrekin Council has chosen The Georgia Williams Trust as the official charity for the T-Live Festival on Saturday September 7.

Trust volunteers will have their charity wristbands available in return for donations at the event and Trust chairman Richard Langton will have the opportunity to explain the work of the charity from the T-Live stage.
17-year-old Georgia died at an address in Wellington in May and a man has been remanded in custody charged with her murder.
The Georgia Williams Trust was set up in early June and aims to reflect Georgia’s life and interests by providing funding to enable young people in Telford and Wrekin to access outdoor sports and adventure and to encourage them to volunteer.
Trustees come from organisations that played a major part in Georgia’s life. including 1130 Wrekin Squadron Air Training Corps, AFC Telford United, Ercall Wood Technology College, New College and West Mercia Police.
Telford & Wrekin Council leader Councillor Kuldip Sahota said:
“The whole community in Telford and Wrekin was touched by Georgia’s story and the council has been delighted to be able to play an active role in helping to set the Trust up and promote its work.
“Georgia loved music and had been planning to attend T-Live herself so we felt the choice of the charity set up in her name as an organisation that T-Live could support was highly appropriate.
“I hope that the Trust team have a very successful day when they attend the event on Saturday September 7 in the QEII Fields In Trust Town Park Arena.
“I also look forward to hearing Trust chairman Richard Langton’s presentation on the work and aims of the Trust, which I understand will be backed by a DVD.”

“We look forward to meeting as many people as possible at T-Live and explaining what we have been doing and what our plans are going forward.
“We will have the official charity wristbands available for a suggested minimum donation of £2 per band and we will be doing presentations on stage to explain our work.”
