Church Stretton police investigate airgun incident
Police in Church Stretton are investigating an incident in which an airgun pellet struck a garden shed close to where a resident was working.

No-one was hurt and it’s not thought the pellet was deliberately fired at anyone. But police are concerned that someone could have been injured and are appealing for information.
The incident happened between 1.30pm and 2pm yesterday in the Watling Street South area.
Sergeant Adrian Woolley said: “A used pellet was recovered from a garden after a loud bang was heard.
“A resident was doing some work on a shed when the pellet landed on the roof. Someone was obviously firing an airgun in the area of Hazler Road, Hazler Crescent, Watling Street South and Sandford Avenue .”
He added: “Owners of air weapons are reminded it is an offence for a pellet to be fired beyond the perimeter of their own garden. No-one was injured but we would like to trace the person responsible.”
Anyone with information should contact Sergeant Woolley at Church Stretton police station on 101. Details can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
