New witness appeal after fatal Dorrington collision
Police are continuing to investigate a road collision on the A49 near Shrewsbury in which a 46-year-old motorcyclist died

Police today issued the fresh appeal for witnesses after Stephen Conde, of Greyfriars, Oswestry, died when his black Aprilia Shiver GT 750 motorcycle was involved in a collision with a red Ford Transit at Dorrington at around 12.30pm on August Bank Holiday Monday.
He was travelling south towards Church Stretton at the time, accompanied by three other motorcycles. The transit van was heading in the opposite direction towards Shrewsbury.
Mr Conde was airlifted to the University Hospital North Staffordshire in Stoke but died shortly after arriving.
Police Constable Mark Booth said investigations into the incident were continuing and appealed for witnesses to contact Shrewsbury police station on 101.
He said the driver of a car travelling in the same direction as the motorcyclists who had flashed headlights to warn oncoming traffic about the collision, had come forward in response to the initial witness appeal.
“We have spoken to several people who have assisted with information but there may well be others who saw the collision or the circumstances leading up to it, who we have not yet spoken to.
“In particular, we would like the driver of a heavy goods lorry which was a white tractor unit with a white trailer, to get in touch. It did not appear to have any signage on the bodywork and it may have been a Leyland Daf make with part of the registration possibly being MX54.”
Shropshire coroner Mr John Ellery opened an inquest on Friday for evidence of identification before adjourning the hearing to a future date.
