Shrewsbury police investigate racist incidents
Police in Shrewsbury are investigating several incidents in which an Asian woman was subjected to racist abuse from a teenage boy.

Last Friday the woman was subjected to swearing and racist comments from the boy. The incident happened on Friday, between 6pm and 7pm at the far end of Tesco car park near the banks.
In another incident on Tuesday, the youth spat at the woman spoiling her clothing. The incident happened in front of her children at around 4.45pm by the Anchor Inn, Gloucester Road.
It’s though the offender is aged about 14 or 15 and was with a group of older teenagers. He is described as white with swept back brown hair and was wearing a bright orange top and black shorts during the Tesco incident. He was also riding a push-along scooter.
Sergeant Keith Steele said: “This is despicable behaviour and we are anxious to trace the offender. I am appealing for information from any witnesses or anyone who might know his identity to contact Shrewsbury police station on 101.
“In particular, there was a passerby with a dog who might have seen yesterday’s incident and I would ask them to get in touch.”
Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111, for which a reward may be paid.
