Madeley Library closes for refurbishment
Madeley Library and First Point will close today to enable essential refurbishment works to be carried out.

The library will re-open in October with a new entrance, self-service kiosks and an improved layout providing a welcoming space to visit at the heart of Madeley.
While the library is closed residents will be able to visit any other Telford & Wrekin library to borrow and return books, and to use the computers. There will also be a small collection of books available at Jubilee House.
Users of the library service will benefit from an extension of both the period and the number of items they may borrow to cover them over the period of the closure.
Councillor Hilda Rhodes, Telford & Wrekin Cabinet member with responsibility for Libraries, said: “We apologise to all those who use the library and First Point services in Madeley for any inconvenience during these essential building works.
“This refurbishment comes as we continue our programme to improve library services across the borough, which will have seen three new libraries open by the spring of 2014.
“We look forward to welcoming residents back to the library later in the year when the improvement works have been completed.”
