Police in Telford are investigating an incident in Hadley in which a 17-year-old male was assaulted on Saturday.

Two arrested following assault in Hadley

At around 8.10pm, the teenager was making his way through Hadley when he became involved in a verbal altercation with three unknown males.

As a result of this altercation the men ended up chasing the victim along the High Street, up Manse Road and then onto Crescent Road before he managed to get away from them.

At some point on this route it appears the victim was struck a number of times and as a result of this he suffered bruises and grazes to his face and back.

Two males aged 19 and 16 have been arrested in connection with the incident but police officers remain keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything in Hadley between 8pm and 8.20pm that could be related to this assault.

The two males who were arrested have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone who believes they may have information that could aid the police investigation is asked to call police in Telford as soon as possible on 101, quoting incident number 613S 140913.

Alternatively, information can also be passed on anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you’d rather not identify yourself.
