New Dawley library opens its doors
The brand new Dawley library within the Phoenix Academy complex is set to open today after the old library premises closed in mid-August.

The library forms part of the £16m development and will offer all the usual library services including free computer and internet access.
This is the second of three new libraries opening in the borough in the space of just three years.
Last year the new library at Wellington Civic and Leisure Centre opened and the opening of the new Dawley Library will be followed by another new library in the Southwater One community building in Telford town centre next year.
As well as the new library opening, the Library service is also offering a brand new online tool to help users choose new reading material. The resource is available free to all members of the Telford & Wrekin Libraries and can be found in the Virtual Library www.telford.gov.uk/libraries
Councillor Hilda Rhodes, cabinet member for Customer Services, Libraries & Transport, said: “I’m delighted that we’re now able to open the second of three new libraries in the borough.
“I know that residents in Dawley and the surrounding area will be happy that they have their local library back and will be eager to get along to the new premises and see the fantastic facilities which are available to them.
“It’s also pleasing to see the expansion of the online Virtual Library with the Who else writes like...? and Who next...? functions that will help to encourage adults and children to continue reading beyond their favourite authors.”
