Giant Lotto Balls to roll down the River Severn
The National Lottery will float four metre Lotto balls, the size of double-decker buses down the River Severn in Ironbridge on Thursday.
The giant floating balls will pass underneath the Iron Bridge at 9.30am to mark the launch of this Saturday’s new-look Lotto.
The balls will represent the region’s luckiest numbers and marks the sale of tickets for the new-look Lotto at £2 per line.
The revamped Lotto will launch this Saturday when players will have the chance to win one of 1,000 guaranteed £20,000 prizes – and a £10 million jackpot – two Saturdays in a row.
Andy Duncan, Managing Director of Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, said: “New Lotto will give players more ways to win more money and we have two fantastic events planned to celebrate the launch. Not only will we have a massive £10 million jackpot two Saturdays in a row but we will also be creating 1,000 guaranteed winners of £20,000, twice. It’s not to be missed!”
The new Lotto will also be contributing more funding to crucial National Lottery Good Causes all over the UK. Each week, National Lottery players raise over £35 million for Good Causes.
