Man kicked and punched during Wellington robbery
Police in Telford are investigating a report of a robbery on Haybridge Road on Tuesday.

At around 11.15pm, the victim – a 20-year-old man – was sat on the railway bridge chatting to a friend when an unknown man approached them from the cycle path that runs parallel with the railway line.
The man did not speak to the victim and his friend but then a short time later two other unknown men walked onto the bridge from the Leegomery direction and started talking to him.
After a short period of time, the two men who arrived together approached the victim and he was suddenly attacked by them. The victim was punched and kicked a number of times, causing him to fall to the floor.
While the victim was being attacked, his friend managed to run from the scene in search of assistance.
A police spokesman said:
“Once the victim had fallen to the floor the men who had attacked him went through his pockets and stole a number of items from him.
“The men stole a Samsung Galaxy S3, two sets of keys and various personal documents from the victim before fleeing the scene towards Leegomery.
“The first man the victim and his friend saw – who did not join in the attack but is described as being white, aged in his late teens and as wearing a grey top and grey tracksuit bottoms – also left the scene at this point and also headed towards Leegomery.
“Although the victim was left with a significant number of cuts and bruises as a result of this incident he has been able to give us descriptions of the two men that robbed him.
