Police appeal over stolen Shrewsbury Town FC Memorabilia
Police investigating the theft of a homeless man’s tent from a wooded area in Shrewsbury believe two other stolen items might help identify the thieves.

The two items are unusual and distinctive Shrewsbury Town Football Club memorabilia which the offenders may have attempted to sell.
Investigating officers are now appealing for information concerning the whereabouts of a 1996 Shrewsbury Town Auto Windscreens Trophy Final flag signed by Arthur Rowley and a 1950s burgundy coloured square-shaped metal hat badge bearing the club logo and a football at both ends.
PC Adrian Davies said: “Both items were stolen along with the owner’s green four-person pop-up tent from the Frankwell area between 3-8 October while he was away.
“Other items of his property, including clothing had been placed in a pile and set alight.
It’s thought that a large number of Shrewsbury Town football shirts, dating from 1974 to the present day, were also stolen.”
He said the flag and badge in particular were distinctive and the thief may have sold them or attempted to off-load them.
“I am appealing for any information which might assist in tracing the offenders and recoverying the stolen property. Contact Shrewsbury police station on 101 or call in at the town centre office.”
Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 for which a reward may be paid.
