Arrest made as police carry out drugs warrant in Market Drayton
A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences today after police carried out a search warrant at a Market Drayton home.

Officers made a forced entry to a flat in Frogmore Road at 6.30am. They seized a quantity of various substances believed to be controlled drugs together with equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis.
The man was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply and cultivating cannabis.
Among the items seized were 14 mature cannabis plants and items of equipment believed to be associated with their cultivation.
A quantity of powder substances, suspected of being heroin and cocaine, were also discovered.
Police Constable Mick Sturland, who led members of the Market Drayton Safer Neighbour Team together with four response officers on the search, said the suspected drugs seized would have a street value of around £1,400.
He said the warrant had been issued under the Misuse of Drugs Act following information from members of the public.
“We are very grateful for the support of the local community. A total of eight intelligence reports were received from members of the public.
“This demonstrates, yet again, how important it is for members of the public to contact the police on 101 if they suspect drug cultivation or any other type of drug activity is going on in their communities.
“Information can also be given about individuals involved in criminal activity to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111, for which a reward may be paid.”
PC Sturland added: “If local people notify us about suspected criminal activity we will always check it out. By working together we will make our communities safer places and take strong action against the small minority who are offending.”
