Police in Telford are investigating after a burglary at an address on Spruce Drive in Leegomery on Tuesday.

Police investigate Leegomery burglary

Sometime between 9.15am and 3.45pm, thieves entered the property by forcing open the back door.

Once inside the house they carried out a thorough search if its interior – the master bedroom was left in a particular mess – before stealing a number of items and making their escape.

The stolen items include a gold, Gucci ‘G-Line’ watch with a rectangular face, a gold ring with a cluster of diamonds in the shape of a flower, matching gold droplet earrings that also had diamonds on them shaped like a flower, a chunky 9 carat gold rope necklace and a fine gold chain with a single diamond on it.

The total value of the jewellery that is missing is thought to be at least £2000.

In addition, between £250 and £300 was taken in a wallet that was stolen from a shelf in the house.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may know where any of the stolen items can now be found, or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in and around Spruce Drive on Tuesday.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police in Telford on 101, quoting incident number 399S 291013. Alternatively, please remember that information can also be passed on anonymously by call the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
