Refurbished Madeley Library to re-open today
Madeley Library and First Point Madeley will re-open on Thursday 31 October following essential refurbishment works.

The new look library boasts a new improved entrance on the first floor, self service kiosks so that staff can spend more time helping customers with their reading and First Point service enquiries.
Staff at Madeley Library are looking forward to welcoming customers back to a refreshed and refurbished library which includes an improved space for young children and families to encourage younger members of the community to spend time reading, enjoy lots of reading activities and of course to borrow lots of books and a new IT area for free use of PCs and Internet access.
Councillor Hilda Rhodes, Telford & Wrekin cabinet member with responsibility for Libraries, said: “It’s great to have Madeley library open again serving the local community.
“This refurbishment comes as we continue our programme to improve library services across the borough, which will have seen three new libraries open by the spring of 2014.
“I’d like to take the opportunity to thank Madeley Town Council who have kindly provided a collection of books at Jubilee House for local people to enjoy whilst the library was closed for the last six weeks.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming residents back to the library and hope that they will enjoy the improvements.”
