Woman threatened and robbed by man with hammer in Telford
Police in Telford are appealing for information after a man with a hammer threatened a woman and carried out a robbery at her home in Ketley Bank last Tuesday.

At around 9.15pm, the 26-year-old woman heard a knock at the front door of her home in Sixth Avenue and went to answer it.
On opening her door the woman saw an unknown man holding a hammer. The man immediately made a number of threats and forced his way into her home.
Once inside the property the man continued to threaten the woman and then grabbed her aggressively and demanded she hand over any money she had.
Understandably feeling very frightened, the victim handed over around £300 from her purse in the hope the offender would leave her alone.
Although the offender did leave her home, before he left he quickly grabbed two mobile phones and an Apple iPad before fleeing the scene on foot.
A Telford police spokesman said: “The victim has been left very shaken by this incident and was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.
“Although shaken she has been able to describe the man that entered her home. The offender is described as being black, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, as being around 5ft 9inches tall, with a medium build and as wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.
“Officers investigating this incident are very keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone who may know who the offender is.
“Due to a number of things the offender shouted at the victim while he was in the house, police are looking at the possibility that the offender did have some knowledge of the victim or house that was targeted.
“Anyone who believes they may have information about this incident is asked to call West Mercia Police as soon as possible on 101, quoting incident number 700S 051113.
“Alternatively, please remember Crimestopppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you’d rather leave information without identifying yourself.”
