Two rescued from River Severn at Jackfield
Two people were last night rescued from the River Severn at Jackfield.
The couple who are both in their 30s managed to cling onto the bank whilst help arrived.
It’s thought the woman had slipped and the male got into difficulty whilst trying to recue her.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Tweedale, Wellington and Shrewsbury attended the incident at around 11.50pm last night.
The Water Rescue Unit and boat was used to rescue the pair using a safety line.
