Shropshire events to raise money for Children in Need
Events will be taking place across Shropshire today raising money for BBC’s Children in Need.

In Shrewsbury activities are taking place at the Market Hall including Hunt the Pudsey, raffles, Pudsey bingo and more.
Dedicated pool players in Telford are hoping to pot plenty of cash for Children in Need today when they take part in a 12-hour long pool tournament. Chris Batting, aged 59, and Bill Clapham-Elsom, aged 61, will lead the charity tournament, which will take place at Bournville House in Lightmoor Village, where they both live.
In addition to the pool tournament, there will also be a fun-filled talent competition with categories for children from 5pm and adults from 6pm and a Pudsey-themed bingo session at 7pm.
BBC Radio Shropshire’s Paul Shuttleworth will be broadcasting live from a number of events across Shropshire throughout today.
Children in Need aims to break record total
Doctor Who, JLS and the cast of EastEnders are among the highlights of this year's Children in Need, which hopes to raise more than £26m.
Children in Need hosts Tess Daly, Nick Grimshaw, Sir Terry Wogan, Fearne Cotton and Zoe Ball will take over BBC1 from 7.30pm this evening.
Last year, Children in Need raised £26.7million during the live show on BBC1. The campaign, which is now in its 34th year, provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged.
