CCTV images released after football fans’ disorder on train
British Transport Police is appealing for information after disorderly behaviour by football supporters on a train between Telford and Shrewsbury.

Officers have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened between 7pm and 7.20pm on Sunday, 20 October.
Investigating officer PC Kirk Smith said: “A group of football fans boarded the 1807hrs Birmingham International to Aberystwyth service at Telford Central rail station.
“The group were rowdy and boisterous throughout the journey - swearing, chanting and singing abusive songs, while also banging their fists on the roof of the carriage.
“Others on the train, who should be able to travel without encountering this sort of behaviour, have said they were disgusted by the actions of this group.
“Their behaviour was vulgar and offensive, leaving fellow passengers – including young children - feeling uncomfortable and intimidated.”
Having viewed CCTV footage and spoken to witnesses and rail staff, officers have identified two people they would like to speak to in connection with the incident. They are also anxious to hear from any other passengers on board the train.
“The train was full at the time and we would like to hear from anyone who was travelling on the service,” said PC Smith.
“Enquiries have been ongoing and I am now in a position to release CCTV images of two men we believe may have key information in relation to this incident.
“I would urge anyone who can assist the investigation to contact BTP. You can talk to us in complete confidence and your information could prove vital to our investigation.”
