Dawley play area is regenerated to cater for all ages
A refurbished Telford play area based on a design chosen by children from a local school has been officially re-opened.

The play area in Doseley Road, Dawley, features newly installed modern facilities which have been funded using money gained from developer contributions.
The official opening was attended by Councillor Liz Clare, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Leisure Services and Culture, local ward councillors and partners from Dawley C of E Primary School.
The newly refurbished play area has already been very well received by local children and young people, who actively contributed to the new design..
Councillor Clare said: “Telford & Wrekin Council is delighted to have worked with the local school to complete these new and modern play facilities in Dawley.
“It’s very pleasing to see the facility being used by a wide range of children and young people including those who had an input into its design.
“The play facilities here are part of our commitment to encourage Telford and Wrekin residents to choose to lead more physically and socially active lives – to do more, enjoy more, feel better. What a great facility for the local community.”
