Police praise driver who found cash in Shrewsbury street
A good Samaritan who found £445 in a Shrewsbury town centre street has been praised by the police for his honesty.

The bundle of notes was discovered by a delivery driver who stopped off outside shops in Dogpole at around 9.20am today.
Within second of picking up the cash he waved down a passing police car driven by PC Mike Sanders.
“He just stopped me and said it was lying on the pavement. It could only have been there a minute or two and had obviously been dropped by a passer-by.
“I thanked him for his honesty and said I hoped he would be rewarded in due course by the person claiming the money.”
PC Sanders said a man called at the police station within an hour or two saying he had lost money which he had withdrawn from the post office a short time before.
It had fallen out of his pocket and was devastated when he realised it was missing.
He added: “All’s well that ends well thanks to the honesty and integrity of the man who found the cash. I know the owner was very relieved to find it had been safely handed in.”
