Telford & Wrekin Council invites tenders for T-Live 2014
Telford & Wrekin Council is inviting tenders for the production management of T-Live 2014 – with the likely date for the second event earmarked as August 30.

The first T-Live in the QEII Fields In Trust Town Park Arena attracted more than 3,000 people – who were entertained by four major national acts and two local bands.
The council is now aiming to select a production management company to provide artists, staging, lighting, sound and technical essentials for the 2014 event.
Telford & Wrekin Council leader Kuldip Sahota said: “We have begun to build a reputation in Telford for hosting events and festivals.
“The year 2012 threw an unprecedented national focus on cultural and sporting events such as the Olympic torch relay in Telford and Wrekin were a huge success.
“This highlighted an aspiration among residents for bigger and better events taking place in our borough, celebrating all that is good about Telford as a place to live, work and play.
“The £250m Southwater development and its proximity to our magnificent Town Park provide us with the ideal time to invite people to explore and enjoy Telford as a destination.
“The 2013 T-Live was all about demonstrating that the arena can work as a venue for major festivals and on that basis it was a huge success.
“We are now looking to develop T-Live into an annual profit making festival and we are inviting professional production management companies to bid for the production management of the 2014 event.
“The successful company will have a proven track record of managing outdoor music festivals and live events.”
Interested companies need to submit tenders via the council’s e-sourcing solution by 12 noon on Friday December 6.
The tender contract covers the period December 20, 2013-30 September, 2014 with an option to extend for a second year.
