Van driver sought following Shrewsbury collision
Police today appealed for the driver of a large white van to come forward after the vehicle was involved in a collision with a 16-year-old boy in Shrewsbury.
The collision happened at around 4.20pm yesterday on London Road, near the White Horse pub.
The van did stop and its driver checked the pedestrian before continuing his journey.
The teenager was later taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with slight injuries.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: “In view of the injuries sustained, it is important the driver now comes forward. He should contact Shrewsbury police station on 101.”
It’s thought the vehicle may have a damaged nearside wing mirror. The driver was described as white, in his forties, spoke with a slight stutter, had brown greying hair and was wearing an orange jacket and grey jeans.
