Work begins on adventure golf course for Telford Town Park
A new adventure golf course is set to open in Telford Town Park early next year.

Work on the 12-hole adventure golf course started yesterday and is expected to be completed in time for the course to open during February half term.
All ages and abilities will be able to take part in the fun course which will have some exciting added extras included such as a water feature and other fun obstacles.
In a prominent position, overlooking the existing play area and Southwater development, the course is being built on the site of the old Heather Gardens.
Councillor Liz Clare, cabinet member for Leisure Services and Culture, said: “The adventure golf course is going to be a fantastic addition to the town park. Already we have seen the park go from strength to strength this year with the new facilities being offered.
“Telford Town Park is creating an environment where people can come and enjoy a fun-filled day. The adventure golf is yet another activity that we are providing for visitors and I’m sure it is going to attract all ages and abilities and particularly families who can all face the challenge of making it round the course together.
“Being on the doorstep of the new Southwater development the town park is set to benefit from substantially increased visitor numbers and we want to make sure we are providing great facilities and things to do for those who visit.”
The adventure golf course will be operated by Telford & Wrekin Council.
