The body was discovered in a stream in the Horton Lane area at around 9am today by a member of the public.

There are police cordons in place in the area, which is popular with dog walkers.

Police say the inquiry is in its very early stages and it's not clear if the body is male or female.

Anyone with information is asked to call Telford CID by ringing 101.
