Five arrested after robbery at Shrewsbury home
Police have arrested five men after they forced their way into a Shrewsbury home and threatened the occupants before stealing cash and jewellery.

The robbery took place at the family home in Old Heath at around 2pm yesterday afternoon.
Police say the men threatened the occupants and carried out a search before making off in a white Ford Transit with the cash and jewellery.
The ford Ford Transit was located and stopped on the old A5 near Wellington a short time after. The five men aged between 28 and 42 were arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken to Shrewsbury police station.
Detective Inspector Tom Harding said: “We are anxious to speak to anyone who may have seen a group of men – some white and some black – in the Old Heath vicinity between about 1pm and 2.45pm yesterday. A white Ford Transit van may also have been spotted.
“I am appealing for witnesses who may have seen them to contact Shrewsbury CID by calling 101.”
He added that the suspects were traced and under arrest within 20 minutes of the 999 call being received.
No-one was hurt during the incident.
