Pedestrian injured in A5 collision at Dobbies Island
A man was seriously injured in a collision with a car last night while crossing the A5 near Dobbies roundabout on the outskirts of Shrewsbury.

The 35-year-old was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with multiple injuries before being transferred to the University Hospital North Staffordshire in Stoke.
His condition was described as critical but stable.
The collision happened at around 7.30pm last night near the pedestrian crossing on the A5 just after Dobbies roundabout.
It involved a grey coloured Vauxhall Corsa driven by a woman who was uninjured.
It’s thought the pedestrian was crossing the road, heading towards Bayston Hill.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact Shrewsbury police station by calling 101.”
The west-bound carriageway between the roundabout and Edgebold roundabout remained closed until just after 11pm.
