Thieves steal quantity of cash from Oswestry home
Police are appealing for information about a burglary in which cash was stolen from an Oswestry home.

They are trying to pinpoint the time the house in Victoria Fields area of Oswestry was broken into yesterday and also appealing for sightings of anyone acting suspiciously in the area.
Burglars forced their way into the property at some point between 9am and 5pm while the occupants were away.
They gained entry by smashing a window at the back of the premises and carried out a search of various rooms. A quantity of money was stolen and about £500 damage caused.
Detective Inspector Pete Brophy said today: “The burglary almost certainly took place during daylight hours in a fairly busy residential area. There is every likelihood the offenders would have been seen either beforehand or making off from the house.
“Anyone who thinks they may have spotted them, or has information concerning the identities of those involved, is urged to contact the burglary unit at Shrewsbury police station by calling 101.
“Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 for which a reward may be paid.”
