Church Stretton Post Office upgrade is welcomed
South Shropshire MP Philip Dunne has welcomed the news that Church Stretton’s Post Office is being upgraded.

The re-fit will mean a modern open plan environment with extended opening hours, whilst maintaining the same products and services.
Mr Dunne said “The changes to Church Stretton Post Office are part of a three year investment and support programme, which will see half of the Post Office network converting to the new style of branches.
Longer opening hours and a more customer friendly layout will help sustain the post office and make it more practical for local residents and visitors to Church Stretton to use.
The Government is committed to maintaining rural postal services and safeguarding Post Office branches is a vital part of this programme, so I am pleased that the Post Office has committed to this investment in Church Stretton.”
The re-vamped Church Stretton Post Office will open on Friday 14th February at 1pm. The branch will be closed from 5.30pm today to allow work to commence.
