Thieves steal suitcases during burglary in Wellington
Burglars who stole property worth almost £3,000 from a Wellington home, may have used two suitcases to carry off their haul.

Police investigating the burglary at a home in North Road between 8.30am and 3pm on Monday, 27 January are appealing to anyone who saw one or more people with a suitcase in the area, to get in touch.
Among the items stolen were a playstation 3 with two controllers, two Toshiba laptops, four watches, two pairs of cuff links, bottles of alcohol, a Pandora charm bracelet and a Barbour jacket.
Police Constable Marvin Choudhury, the investigating officer, said: “The thieves also took a large black and green suitcase along with a cabin size case. It’s likely they used these to carry off the other items of stolen property.
“The burglary happened during daylight hours and the area would have been quite busy with both pedestrians and passing vehicles. I’m urging people who were in the area on that date to think back and to call us if they recall seeing anyone carrying a suitcase or otherwise acting suspiciously”.
He added: “The offenders may have had to walk some distance even if they had a vehicle parked up.”
