Three people have been injured following a collision in Sheriffhales, which left one of the vehicles on its roof.

Three injured in Sheriffhales collision

The collision occurred on Lilyhurst Road in Sheriffhales shortly after 10.50am this morning.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews were called to reports of two cars that had been in collision. One of the vehicles had overturned and was found to be on its roof.

“The occupants from both of the vehicles were out of the cars on the crew’s arrival.

“Two occupants from the overturned car were treated at the scene. The driver, a man, was treated for an arm injury before being conveyed to Princess Royal Hospital.

“The passenger, a woman, was treated for back and chest injuries. Due to the nature of her injuries she was fully immobilised as a precaution and taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

“The occupant of the second vehicle, a woman, was treated for a suspected fractured collar bone before being conveyed to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”

Three ambulances and two rapid response vehicles, one of which was carrying a critical care paramedic and a trauma doctor from the Midlands Air Ambulance base in Cosford, were dispatched to the scene.
