Police are seeking witnesses to a collision in which a car ended up on its roof near Westbury.

The young woman driver escaped with a slight injury following the incident on the B4386 on the outskirts of Westbury towards Montgomery shortly before 4pm yesterday.

It’s believed her blue Ford Ka swerved to avoid a lorry heading towards Shrewsbury, which failed to stop.

Police Constable Matt Harding, the investigating officer, said: “I am appealing for the lorry driver to get in touch and also for anyone who witnessed the incident or knows the identity of the lorry driver.

“They should contact Shrewsbury police station on the 101 non emergency number.”
