Firefighters attend suspicious car fire in Dawley
Firefighters were called to a car fire in Dawley at just after 5am, this morning.
Firefighters from Tweedale used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to put out the fire which is believed to have been caused deliberately.
A Fire Investigation Officer was mobilised to the scene and police were informed.
In recent weeks a four other cars have been deliberately set alight in the Dawley area. The cars were damaged in George Chetwood Court, Matlock Avenue, Spout Way and Dark Lane Drive.
Anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the fires can call West Mercia Police on 101 or information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
