Twelve hole adventure golf course opens in Telford Town Park
The latest in a line of new facilities and significant investment in Telford Town Park is to open today – in the shape of a 12 hole adventure golf course.

All ages and abilities will be able to take part in the fun course, which has some added extras including a water feature and other innovative obstacles such as a miniature Iron Bridge.
The new course – which is built on the site of the old Heather Gardens - overlooks the existing play area and the £250m Southwater development.
The adventure golf course is another new feature to come to the Town Park after a string of amazing additions as investment in one of Telford’s most popular assets continues.
These include the successful opening of the new high ropes course, the opening of the new Town Park visitor centre, water play facility, sensory garden and inclusive play area.
Councillor Liz Clare, cabinet member for Leisure Services and Culture, said: “The adventure golf course is a fantastic addition to the Town Park which is slowly being transformed into an inclusive all-purpose leisure area for all the family through imaginative planning and significant investment.
“The aim is to attract all ages and abilities including families who can all face the challenge of making it round the course together.
“The Town Park was already one of the jewels in Telford’s crown, it is now becoming the perfect outdoor leisure venue to complement the nearly-completed £250m Southwater development and the soon-to-start revamp of Telford Shopping Centre.”
