Appeal to find relatives of Newport man
The Shropshire coroner’s office is seeking help in tracing relatives of a man found dead at his Newport home earlier this week.
Mr Roderick Henry Gabriel, 67, was found on Wednesday. A post mortem is being held but his death is not being treated as suspicious.
Julie Hartridge, from the coroner’s office at Wellington police station, said today: “Very little is known about Mr Gabriel and we are having difficulty in locating any next of kin.
“If anyone knows of any family members or has information which might assist, please contact me on 01952-214818.”
She thought Mr Gabriel may have been born in St Asaph, North Wales and had an ex-wife called Wendy and a daughter called Tracy.
He was also known to be a model boat racing enthusiast.
