A man who died in a two-car collision near Oswestry on Wednesday has been named as Andrew Trevor Watkins, aged 59, from Llansantffraid, Powys.
Mr Watkins, who was formally identified yesterday, died when the silver Peugeot 307 he was driving was involved in a collision with a black VW Caddy on the A495 near the village of Llanyblodwell at around 8.40am.
The Peugeot also struck a road sign following the initial collision, ending up on its roof.
West Mercia Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances and a report is being prepared for the Shropshire coroner.
A police spokesperson said today: “A number of witnesses have been spoken to but we are anxious to hear from anyone else who can assist. Anyone who saw the collision, or either vehicle being driven immediately beforehand, is asked to contact Oswestry or Shrewsbury police stations on 101.”
