Pedestrian crossing to be installed on A49 at Dorrington
The Highways Agency is to install a pedestrian crossing on the A49 at Dorrington.

The puffin crossing will be located between Church Road and Forge Way and will take three weeks to construct from Monday 28 April.
Tactile paving will also be installed and high friction road surfacing will be laid on both approaches to the new crossing.
Highways Agency Project Manager Jess Kenny said:
“Local residents and Shropshire County Council have expressed concerns about pedestrian accessibility across the A49. This crossing will make it so much easier for people to cross this busy thoroughfare.
“During construction we advise road users to allow extra time for their journey.”
The work will be carried out day and night. Night time work will be carried out under carriageway or lane closures from 8pm to 6am. Diversions will be signed. During the day there will be lane closures with traffic controlled by temporary traffic lights from 9.30pm to 3.30pm.
