MP Philip Dunne hosts successful Jobs Fair in Ludlow
South Shropshire MP Philip Dunne today hosted his second Jobs Fair in Ludlow to help local people find training and employment opportunities in the area.

Over 140 job seekers attended the event, fewer than an event organised last year by Mr Dunne, reflecting the fall of over 400 jobseekers claimants in the last year across the Ludlow constituency. 29 exhibitors had some 125 jobs on offer, with roles available in farming and armed forces, care workers, CAD design, catering, retail sales assistants and self employed opportunities.
Mr Dunne said: “I was very pleased to have been able to organise a second jobs fair in Ludlow to help connect jobseekers with employers and training providers with real jobs on offer in South Shropshire. This was a good time of the year for young people leaving college and school this summer to be able to see some of the apprenticeship and further training opportunities on offer as well as part time and full time jobs. Initial feedback from employers and training providers was there had been a steady stream of people interested in what was on offer and I am hopeful that job offers will be forthcoming.”
Exhibitors included Barchester Health, Tesco, Esterform from Burford, Hazlin from Ludlow, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, the Armed Forces, County Training and other local employers.
